AEM is pleased to announce that the EASA Part 21 Sub-part G production activity of one of its member companies, Avionics Mobile Services, has been relocated to its Stansted facility. It has been re-approved by EASA (UK.21G.2270) and can now undertake the following work:

• Capability covers a broad range of manufacturing including cable harness production, complete box assembly and sheet metalwork.
• AMS has an advanced computer-controlled CAPRIS 50-100 laser wire printing facility to create continuous idents on most types of cable.
• We manufacture to designs generated by EASA Part 21J design authorities and work in partnership with these organisations to satisfy customers' requirements.

"We have already received an enthusiastic response from customers to this new capability. By providing complete installation kits for cabin conversions and avionics modifications, we have made their lives much more straightforward. Our EASA Part 21Sub-part G production approval also complements our existing EASA 145 maintenance and EASA Part 21 Sub-part J design activities so we can give customers a total accessory service," said Alan Harding, AEM's Managing Director.

Examples of typical manufacturing work include:

• both bespoke and high volume cable looms;
• production of installation kits including TCAS and EGPWS for a range of aircraft such as Dornier 328, Hawker 125 and Jetstream 31 and 32;
• manufacture of micro QAR adapter boxes for installation in a wide variety of aircraft including A300, A310, A320, A340, ATR 42/72 , B737, B747, ERJ 135/145 and Gulfstream IV;
• supporting cabin conversions for power for lighting and lap-top computers, in-flight entertainment (IFE) and other interior modifications.
