The range of electrical equipment undertaken includes power generation systems, motors, actuators, contactors, relays, landing lights, beacons and engine accessories including exciters from all major manufacturers.

Our generator test rigs are among the most sophisticated available. They are capable of simulating loads up to 145 KVA and 850 Amps (DC) at speeds of up to 32,000 rpm. This allows most generators currently flying to be tested including the latest air-cooled DC brushless generators fitted to ERJ 135/145 as well as oil-cooled machines from BAe 146, DHC-8 and SAAB 2000.

Support facilities include a machining workshop where rework such as armature skimming and dynamic balancing are carried out to exacting manufacturers' specifications. A multiple-station automated brush bedding facility as well as advanced cleaning and paint spraying equipment ensure that AEM offers one of the most comprehensive electrical services of its kind in Europe.
